I do apologize to Ruby. She does look a little like a fluffy feline. I was thinking “Peaceable Kingdom.”
That’s actually Ginnie (and Charlie’s the lab). Ruby is her Westie friend who, apparently, is going to hear the story. Don’t worry, anyway. Ginnie doesn’t get insulted easily. Westies are tough!
Well, thank goodness I have not harmed Ginnie’s ego.
LOL LOLL!!! wait until I tell Ruby that she looks like a cat!
I have — you can’t miss it right there on Craftsbury Common. Some students were working a team of oxen on the green the other day and, later, another group was driving some work horses and a hay wagon down the road. The oxen were fascinating to watch!
Yeah, they’re beautiful creatures. I’m thinking about going to school there, and am happy you’re getting to experience the magic of that neck of the country.
Please feel welcome to visit Sterling College the next time you come to Craftsbury. There are over 100 students here devoted to the study and practice of sustainable living, and the food in our dining hall – produced on our own organic farm – is simply outstanding.
I’m really impressed with what I know about your programs. I did poke around there some this summer, and had a chance to watch some students learning to work oxen on the common. I also did the self-guided tour on the Kingdom Farm and Food Days weekend. I’d live to connect with you next time I’m up, which will be in a few weeks. I’ll send you an e-mail to see if you’ll be around. Thanks again for visiting my blog. I’m a huge fan of Craftsbury, as you can probably tell!
I love it! But is that two dogs or a cat and a dog?
Oh, gosh! That’s two dogs: a westie and a lab. No cats in sight…

Glad you and the dogs are having a good time!
The best! So peaceful and incredibly beautiful.
I love Craftsbury. Such a strong local foods passion there. Have you heard about Sterling College in the area? It looks fantastic.
